End of Year Reflections at Exodus and Starting the New Year with Jesus

As we come to the end of another wonderful year at Exodus Academy, we reflect on all the blessings, growth, and lessons we’ve shared together. It’s been a year full of learning, laughter, and memorable moments, and we are so grateful for our amazing students, families, and staff. Now, as we prepare for the New Year, we are excited to look ahead and think about the opportunities and goals that await.

Starting the Year Off with Jesus

A new year is a fresh start—a chance to set new goals, renew our hearts, and grow even closer to God. As we teach our students about the importance of beginning the year with Jesus, we remind them that true success comes from seeking His guidance in all that we do. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

Starting the year with Jesus means seeking His wisdom, trusting His plan for our lives, and dedicating our goals to Him. When we align our hearts with His will, we can be confident that He will lead us toward the path of growth and success.

Setting Goals That Stick

One of the most important lessons we teach our students is how to set meaningful goals—and, just as importantly, how to stick with them. The Bible gives us plenty of wisdom on this topic, especially in Proverbs. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans." This encourages our students to set goals that honor God and trust that He will guide them every step of the way.

We also teach the importance of perseverance, as Proverbs 12:1 says, "Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is foolish." This teaches our students that setting goals requires discipline and consistency. Whether it’s in their studies, relationships, or spiritual walk, sticking to their goals will take effort and determination—but with God’s strength, they can achieve great things.

A New Year, A New Opportunity to Grow

As we start the new year, we encourage our students to think about how they can grow in their faith and their learning. What new skills can they develop? How can they deepen their relationship with God? What steps can they take to be kinder, more patient, or more grateful? By setting Christ-centered goals and staying focused on Him, our students will experience growth not only in their knowledge but in their hearts.

We are so excited to see what God has in store for each of our students in the coming year. With Jesus as our guide and a heart full of determination, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.

Looking Ahead

As we close out this year and look ahead to 2025, let’s remember to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and our hearts open to His guidance. Together, we can make this year one of growth, purpose, and joy, knowing that God is with us every step of the way.

From all of us at Exodus Academy, we wish you a Happy New Year filled with God’s love, peace, and blessings!

With love,

Exodus Academy
